PreZero Recycling Belgium BV inaugurated a packaging sorting plant in Evergem, Belgium, in February 2021 after a construction period of just over a year. In this fully automated plant, we separate about 80,000 tons per year and the material is collected in the capital city of Brussels and in the Flemish Region.
The new sorting plant in Evergem was inspired by the one in Zwolle, which went into operation in 2019. This video from Zwolle provides insight into the sorting process.
